Last day of Reading Visual Devices conference, organised by @emodgral.bsky.social project. Talked about pronouns in E Mod #grammar books and learnt a lot from my fellow presenters. Great session!
My first venture into the 17th century, in collaboration with Jukka Tyrkkö, is now available in Graphic Practices and Literacies in the History of English, ed. by M. Peikola, J. Tyrkkö & @mlvarila.bsky.social (Brepols).
If it goes ahead, the industrial action will see about 13,000 university workers go on strike for a 24-hour period at the end of this month.

This just out: a Finnish-language collection of Old English literature. 'When the Swords Sang' includes two chapters I co-authored, and I also tried my hand at translating bits of the A-S Chronicle. Publisher: Gaudeamus.
