it’s also partially inspired by my dad saying that i must have been a princess in my last life (something about my demeanor? idk). i think the concept of past lives is soo fascinating and i thought it would be fun to pick apart how one life can affect another, centuries apart.

such a gorgeous story it made me want to lay on the ground and curl into a ball!!

i got the idea for this piece while i was in india last december! i wrote most of it on the plane and could not stop thinking about it after i landed. i always think up titles first, so i had the title sitting in my notes app for months, and then it just clicked lol
