We want to build an event informed by and responsive to the needs of the community. We want to see if such a thing can be sustainable without relying on precarious funding rounds. And we want you to tell us how you want to be part of the process.

We know it's rough out there in the games scene. Beloved events have shut down, companies are laying off artists, but throughout it all there are more inventive and exciting games being created than ever.
Rather than host another room filled with computers, we wanted to experiment with the format.
The Games Garden Party comprises an unconference and an informal exhibition. Over the afternoon we'll host a series of conversations, led by you! Alongside that there will be space to show a handful of games - things that might not get a chance to be seen otherwise, things that don't fit the mold.
