More *hot leaks* about a game that was canceled more than a decade ago: The directors group at 2K Marin pitched 4 concepts to 2K. All of them fell under the codename "Marin 2013" or "Richmond", and only one concept would be selected and potentially greenlit. 1/
I saw a job posting today that I was qualified for, but then it also said AI was mandatory at their workplace, and extremely fuck that. I will never use AI.
When I talk about "Project Richmond", I'm referring to the 1 of those 4 projects that got greenlit for a prototype. But there were 3 other concepts, and one of them has stuck with me for a long time. 2/
It was such a good pitch, the concept art was incredible, I spent way too long wanting to make that game. I miss the folks on that team, and I still think about what we could've made if we'd been allowed to make our own game. RIP 2KM. 6/6

I don't remember most of the other pitches, but the one that got greenlit for a prototype (and became known as "Project Richmond") was "The Experiment". The player is in an early 70s suburban environment, then the sky cracks open and futuristic rangers arrive to rescue them. 5/
I was right about crypto, I was right about NFTs, and I'm sure as hell right about AI. I am available as a consultant if you want to know what software or game trends are/are not worth pursuing. I haven't been wrong yet. Here's a freebie: if it's already a trend, you're too late. Love, Cassandra
I'd recently watched La Maison en Petits Cubes, and that resonated with me, I loved that concept. I wasn't a part of the directors group, but I'm guessing 2K passed on it because it was too similar to BioShock. 4/ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Mais...

An immersive sim is a game in which you always press the quicksave button before you open a door.
