you can tell who owned a handheld as a kid because the games they're nostalgic for are like:
-first party game that came bundled with the system
-weird first party spinoff they never made a sequel for
-like 5 or 6 games in franchises they were obsessed with at the time
-jrpg they played religiously
don't use save states, not because I want a pure experience, but because I keep accidentally loading a state at the start of the game and panicking and erasing all my progress
So many young devs using genAI when they could instead be stealing existing assets from Nintendo games and make perfectly functional games out of them.
