Vichy Dems have learned nothing. This is energy and climate crisis denialism plus a giveaway to a core GOP constituency, car dealers, plus a mega fuck you to Blue states with higher rates of EV ownership

US House GOP & Dems have compromised on 5-year transportation bill. Draft bill includes a $150 annual fee on electric vehicles ($35 for plugins). No fee on gas-powered cars.
Though not huge, this is another disincentive to shift to EVs in a country where the EV market share is low & declining.
