There's an op-ed writer I've interacted with occasionally and if I disagree with him his terse response is "I covered that in my essay" or "read my essay"....which I had. Almost like he can't understand, once he has pontifucated, others might still differ lol. To be fair: nothing more annoying..

In school we were taught you don't need to write "I think" because of course it's your *opinion*. But, I don't kniw. One thing that kind of turns me off some essay/op-ed writers is a seeming lack of humility. Their opinion is right and there's no nuance. And maybe I'm reading too seriously...
