This was a very early iteration of the Tyranid army where it could include a Genestealer Magus and Squig swarms!
Finally the back cover of issue 159 depicting a fantastic battle between Blood Angel Space Marines and the original #Tyranid horde. Look at those lovely colours!

I continue my trawl through my recently-unearthed copies of White Dwarf with issue 159 which majored on Orcs and Dwarfs!
One of my favourite pieces of fantasy art
This featured the Battle of Iron Peak battle report, in which Thorgrim*'s Dwarf Command were trounced by Gorblum's Orc Horde.
*Not the famous one, even though he's featured on the cover
#WhiteDwarf 159 also featured the final bit of content for Advanced Heroquest, the dubiously-named adventure 'Rivers of Blood' by Carl Sargent.
