I think it's funny to accuse people of being cynical and posturing for some imaginary debate points if they're opposed to owning guns. everyone knows someone who's killed themselves with a gun, less so someone who's fought off government tyranny with one
not gonna bother engaging with these people directly as they're just doing the usual liberal posturing, but this is actually an excellent example of how liberals misuse statistics in conversation.
