“It’s a sad observation of human behaviour that people or organisations with something to gain or lose – money, power, status, influence – will, with few exceptions, resist anything that threatens those interests, regardless of the reform’s broader merits.”

I've been a broken record on this for three years and I'll be a broken record for as long as that fucking website exists:
X is a viciously racist far-right organising platform that ONLY WORKS because a huge number of centrists, lefties and progressivs cannot stop propping it up
"Scientists studying Teshekpuk Lake on Alaska’s North Slope found that warming winters and changing snowfall patterns are reducing ice thickness below the levels traditionally required to support heavy military aircraft."

“Green energy is shielding Australia from a global power price shock″ (8/6) should be compulsory reading for all Australians, but particularly Joyce, Hanson, Abbott, Taylor, Canavan and Rinehart.

It's odious for a billionaire to appropriate the left's language (Whitlam's 'men and women of Australia', and FDR's 'New Deal').
Clive Palmer thinks Australians are stupid, and consistently loses elections, despite having limitless funding.
Hopefully he'll split the cooker vote in 2028.

As sure as night follows day, within a few months the predictions of doomsday currently dominating sections of our media will have proved to be illusory.
The use of social media in planning violent protests over the Belfast knife attack has drawn condemnation, with Britain's ruling Labour Party accusing Elon Musk of stoking divisions. The tech billiona...
The global far right led by highly online white nationalists like Elon Musk has had its Kristallnacht moment, producing images that shock the conscience. How will the world respond?
Welcome to Reform UK. Watch a democratic country tear itself to pieces while billionaires laugh all the way to No 10, ostensibly led by their pet monkey Nigel Farage.
Oh god, he’s back 🥺

“The truth is that the global far right have spent the past few years using a billionaire-owned social media platform to deliberately whip up racist violence on Britain’s streets and now they are finally starting to succeed.”

The Far Right riot in Belfast last night was nothing less than “a race-based pogrom”, Belfast MP and leader of the SDLP Claire Hanna said.
The mob hunted down non-whites and set fire to their homes.
Carl Whyte, a local councillor, called it “a hard Far Right element”.
Politicians who fanned these flames should hang their heads in shame.
Time and again we've seen this story play out. Single incidents used to fuel a far right narrative - and communities across the nation paying the price.
