Rewatched the first half of DUNE:Part One.
I've finally accepted that Villeneuve did an okay job of translating an information dense book into the visual language of a movie.
But the sardaukar were just fucking dumb.
I mean. A MAJOR plot point of DUNE is that none of the Great Houses in the Landsraad ever find out the Emperor is helping House Harkonnen eliminate House Atredies.
So the sardaukar showing up in their crisp, white uniforms yelling "SARDAUKAR!" as they fight is completely fucking stupid.
I want 10k words on my desk by Monday.

I sort of keep forgetting that I don't actually like horror movies. At least not serious ones. Absurdly violet black comedies, sure.
But given how shitty and unjust the actual world is, I don't enjoy media that's just more of the same.
I take it back. THRASH is not a horror movie.
It's almost like they changed directors with 20 minutes left in the film, and decided to go action comedy.
It honestly ruined what was an otherwise decent creature feature flick.
