I have said this before and I will say it again, but it is my firm belief that given the blatant and naked corruption exhibited by some members of the Roberts Court, decisions of the Roberts Court should not be treated as precedentially binding on later courts.
As I've noted before, I used to think this was basically a threat. But eventually I realized it's really just physics. It's like saying "Make it hot enough in a pressure cooker, with no escape valve, and it'll explode." Like, this is obvious if you think about it for a *single moment*.
Imagine that everything he promised his base turning out to be a lie. Shocking. Just shocking.
So much — SO MUCH — of the political news lately reminds me of JFK's "Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable."
