Vooral vrouwen die alleen publiceren of samenwerken met andere vrouwen, lopen extra vertraging op. "Dit zet vrouwelijke wetenschappers op een aanzienlijke achterstand", zegt professor Bruns van de UHasselt. Een verklaring voor het verschil kan het onderzoek niet leveren.
