Good news.
I finally had a chance - and a few free hours earlier today - to watch LAWRENCE OF ARABIA.
Wow. 5*
Surpasses its own reputation.
Gorgeous photography, PERFECT pacing, and the inherent lessons are nuanced, yet powerful.
And all this - in Technicolor!

Now, that weird green-glass colored light after a torrential rain.
No wind at all so far, and that, with the weird light, makes me nervous.
Still have power, though, and Wi-Fi.
Hoping this weather passes soon, for all of us here in northeastern Illinois.
Decided to get an Oreo McFlurry today. Before today, I last had one about 20 yrs ago, I think. And it’s hot out, it sounded good.
But it’s just ok.
And 5$ now!

So.. that was both disappointing and fattening.
I feel like I need to go to Culver’s tomorrow to make up for it, oof.
So many have disappointed me in the past decade -
My elders, my cousins’ daft kids, that edgy girl from high school I once admired, too many of my neighbors, a certain horror literature writer..

Listening to Helen Shapiro. First time I’m ever hearing a recording of her sing tbh.
And I’m really loving her voice and songs.
