After engaging presentations from Michael Anthony, S. Karthik Mukkavilli and @milliechapman.bsky.social, we are now discussing the pipeline from AI to Impact, moderated by Sarah Tariq. Take home message: the fairness and trustworthiness of models are key for supporting society as a whole.
Earth Observation (EO) data is a cornerstone for addressing spatially large challenges, but its potential is only fully realized when availability and accessibility are broadly known and used. Dr. Braakhekke will introduce the mission of the Swiss National Point of Contact for Satellite Data.
🌍 Meet another speaker in our AI for Earth Observation session at the AI + Environment Summit 2025. We are glad to share that Dr. Jochem Braakhekke will join with a talk on: “Earth Observation data availability and accessibility”
His research interests include remote sensing of the cryosphere, forests, and greenhouse gases, and he aims to foster the use of EO-data by the general public. ➡️ Spots are limited. Register now: champ.ly/hIHKntne 🗓️ October 1st, 2025 at Innovation Park Zurich
Dr. Jochem Braakhekke is an academic associate in the Earth Observation Application and Services group at the Remote Sensing Laboratories, University of ZĂĽrich, and a scientific consultant with the National Point of Contact for Satellite Data (NPOC).
