I wish every Democratic party operative read Richard Rorty and framed messaging less on grand notions like facts, reason, logic and more focused stories that reinforce what works for people
Why does the the press insist on holding onto norms of propriety that don't exist anymore? Would be really interesting too see what happened if a reporter clapped back.. might actually increase viewership for that network.
Great essay from @meredithconroy.bsky.social !!! Especially the historical timeline of "feminizing opponents" in US elections and the rain the appeal is effective -- "(a man) who doesn’t perform masculinity “correctly” can feel like a challenge to a worldview they hold dear."
