Dylan, on life in your 80’s, is incredible.

What’s more, intellectuals have always scoffed at their ignorance when they weren’t selling them shit for power and privilege. selling them shit may be disingenuous or exploitative but at least it isnt derisive or dismissive
And I’m not saying their dupes or rubes but that they see their interests lying elsewhere and who can blame them? Life is complex and multifaceted, most people just want to feel dopamine pulse their brain. Probably more natural than habermas’ assuming they want to have rational discourse all day
I’ve seen this before
At some point I think everyone has to embrace the fact that most humans are far less informed than we desire or sometimes presume. The influence economy isn’t new just intensified normal human nature. People don’t really know much about politics or economics bc they are busy with other things.
You know what sociologists should be petitioning, boycotting, and protesting? The fuckery happening in their own backyard. You want to divest? Why not force your own uni's hand?
That was satisfying...I just went 80-2, think you can go 82-0?
