I think the only way Sonic would actually get through to surge is doing what she’s suggesting: actually do something and stop the bad guy, but just to reach her a lesson and not go through with it. For example, he would corner her and say he’s gonna finish her off/inprison+
This has probably been said but I just realized that Surge is suppose to be an evil copy of Sonic, yet Tail’s worst fear is thunder and lightning. And Sonic’s worst fear is water, and Kit is supposed to be evil Tails in a way (maybe even be biologically related) #SonicIDW
