best ordination gift so far is the professor (who I adore) from my Rahner class (which was the best I took in theology by a WIDE margin) emailing to, alongside priestly congrats, recommend I submit my term paper for publication 🥹😭

I just spent two days at a monastery in Big Sur — no cell coverage, no wifi, just natural beauty and the rhythm of the monks' prayers; it was exactly what was needed for rest and thanksgiving after the whirlwind of ordination.
they also had a sci-fi lookin' chapel that I thought y'all might like.
(another piece of evidence for my long-running hypothesis: "any sufficiently modern Catholicism is indistinguishable from Assassin's Creed")
