A damp morning in the garden.
The heritage gladiolus are nearly over but still giving pleasure.
I love the astilbe as they’re coming into peak bloom. They also give me fond memories of my grandmother who loved them.
So many people are stating how poisonous foxgloves are.
They’re No more toxic than many other plants on the farm.
Like lords&ladies, sycamore, yew trees, daffodils, Monkshood(Wolfsbane), lilly of the valley, deadly nightshade, autumn crocus, laburnum, giant hogweed(the native one)hemlock&common ivy.

I gather there’s concern about my handled foxgloves.
I’ve done so for well over half a century,planting,transplanting,picking&seed collecting.
It used to be a medical herb for the heart. It’s modern chemical medical equivalent is named after it;Digitalis.
I tend to wash my hands after gardening🤷♀️
