I also got to grab lunch with long-time friend of the Pelgrane @jefftidball.bsky.social, who was on the @chiptheorygames.bsky.social booth. I took some time to play a couple of their demos, and got a copy of Fight 5: chiptheorygames.com/products/fig...
I'm really glad that @heatheroneill23.bsky.social and @chrisoneill99.bsky.social now include UKGE on their convention boothing circuit. It's great to get to see them outside of that place I'm not travelling to at the moment. More @9thlevelgames.bsky.social for everyone!
Thanks to @kierongillen.bsky.social, I got to meet @friede.bsky.social, who I've keenly followed on the Biskies for a while now. She's as warm and sociable IRL as she is smart and knowledgeable online, and I was thrilled when I noticed she'd picked up our Seven Wonders and #Feminism anthologies 😁
Highlights for me were, as is almost always the case, the people. Meeting Hayley @storybrewersroleplaying.com was really special; she said such lovely things to me that I was quite overcome💓 (Did you know there's a 2e of Good Society coming soon? Follow it here: www.kickstarter.com/projects/sto...)
On the topic of "things I got at UKGE", I picked up another one of @badsquiddogames.bsky.social's Auntie Antifascist Danutas. As an antifascist auntie myself, she's an icon! (I also picked up one of their Ada Lovelace minis, just because). www.mightylancergames.co.uk/products/aun...
I had a really great #UKGE2026 this year. I could definitely feel the show's size increase on the @pelgranepress.bsky.social booth; as I've said to a few people, it's Gen Con-sized now, which is a fantastic achievement for the @ukge.bsky.social team. 👏👏👏
After many, many years, I finally got a proper catchup with my friend and Pelgrane predecessor @bethlewis.bsky.social. I'm really excited that she's back working in TTRPGs, and eagerly watching what she does with Rebellion. Read Beth's award-winning fiction here: bethlewis.co.uk
This sounds so cool!
Saw this, thought of @handiworkgames.bsky.social. Is CliveEvil seeing anyone...?
Irish passports now joint fifth in "most countries you can access without a visa". (Curious* to know what one country will let in Luxembourg, Spain, Germany and Italian passports in visa-free, but not us).

*but not curious enough to, y'know, look it up.
