The actual shallow behavior here is basing the worth of others off their looks. If you don't know the people I'm with, you probably don't know why I'm so into them - which is fine, but taking a baseline assumption that it's because of looks reveals your priorities, not mine (speaking generally here)

It often feels like there's underlying antagonism to demi kinksters in the space, visibility & understanding help here, & that's my goal w/ this discussion.
Many of these feelings parallel the antagonism I've gotten for being a demi exhibitionist. Fewer assumptions = less demi erasure. We're real 🫶🏻
I'm deeply demi in a space that deprioritizes personality in favor of hot nudes and acts of sexual service. If the claim is that demi people are shallow if they date hot people, you've lost the point.
I don't mind taking a few min to explain why this line of thinking is destructive to demi folks.
Responding to this post I ran into this morning (disclaimer, this is likely a personal attack against me because my demisexual ass found some exceptionally handsome puppies, & the OP doesn't like me). I think it's an important topic, going to try to keep it logical & not about the personality clash.
