should I start pitching my newsletter as "tomorrow's discourses, today"
I am often right too early but never about things I want to be right about
Go back a couple months and tell past me about Algerian World Cup tourists being basically adopted by Laurence, Kansas; Japanese tourists in Nashville; Germans going to Buc-ees. Sometimes things are good
so like right before my Muriel Spark reading group started, the New Yorker published an article on her that I keep saying I don't want to read until I've finished the books, but my willpower is eroding with each one, I want to know what her DEAL was lmao www.newyorker.com/books/under-...

I would HOPE that many of these are apparent from their connections to English and their placement in the text (context clues!). but they gotta go in the glossary anyway because sometimes there's FALSE FRIENDS IN LATIN, and sometimes there's been quite a bit of semantic drift!
started adding the glossary to Pax Deorum. thought "ah just a few simple terms that would be awkward to explain in-line where they appear in the text. easy." just a few things. couple of useful concepts if people want them. I am currently at 30 entries. I'm so stupid ðŸ˜

my biggest stupidest decision in this game is committing to an ancient idea of "superstitio" which really doesn't bear much resemblance to a modern English idea of "superstition". to them, it would be more like "religiosity" or "zealotry" or quite simply "doing too much". BUT I DID IT ANYWAY.
"why do you have to use Latin terms at all? why not just use a comparable modern English word? why do it for the title of the game?" because I hate everybody and myself thank you
