Please can the new DLR extension to Thamesmead include a walking/cycling component to its tunnel under the Thames. If it's being built anyway. Please.

When the pilot was first announced, opposition was fierce. Protesters famously carried a coffin through Clifton Village, symbolising the “death” of the area if car parking and access was restricted. Yet the local council proceeded, and as the months passed, the feared collapse failed to materialise.

Bike parking outside Bournemouth hospital last night. There are separate, secure parking areas for staff - this is for visitors and patients. People do cycle to hospitals!

An area recently dominated by space for motor traffic has been rebalanced to enable cycling as part of wider network changes and with a rain garden replacing a former slip road. Places can change.
