The amount of money it costs to make even just an animatic is probably far more than most people think.
Only enjoying indie animation when the creators have to bankrupt themselves is honestly very selfish. You don’t have to buy the merch, but don’t judge people for gathering funds.
I've made up my mind. I'm going to keep drawing and get my shit together. 6 months of my life taken away is enough. So expect more art 🫵
Been seeing a strange growing mindset that somehow if you try to fundraise or sell merch to make your indie project, that’s now a bad thing and you’re no better than the corporate studios.
Animation is unbelievably expensive. Most people watch it for free. How else can it get made?

Probably a weird time to say I made/ported some comic lettering utility scripts for Adobe Illustrator.
And I'm mad at Affinity V2 because they took out making utility scripts. Currently all one can do is ask Claude if it can do something complex for them, which, 😬.
