They have realized that the myths about tech they (do not) develop, give them a form of power that even states cannot resist; and they are all to giddy to use it for their own ideological ends (mostly a flavor of fascism).

I think the truth might be a bit more disturbing yet: the open statements of white supremacy have not harmed his business interests. Investors seem aware—they simply don't care.

No I think it’s the fascism to be honest. White supremacy appears far more important to him than his business interests. Banks and shareholders seem unable to accept this too

Elon Musk is very busy attempting to incite violence in the UK. It's his response the the government's initiative designed to ban pornography on the mobile devices of children... pornography of which he is the principal supplier.
