Thai authorities found arsenic levels ~9 times higher than the safety limit in the Mekong's sediment, suggesting the flow of pollution is spreading through river systems.
Rights groups are renewing calls to free five jailed Mother Nature Cambodia activists, held for 700 days.
Sentenced to up to eight years for environmental defense, their appeals hearing is now delayed indefinitely as global pressure mounts.
