So, so true: “Google Scholar has never been enough.” Personally, I’d say the same about a lot of commercial library discovery engines, which often cannot tell the difference between a book and a review of a book. Human curation, not for profit, supporting the scholarly societies that support you.
I would love to talk with librarians & others worried about the future of their repositories. Is there a potential role for Knowledge Commons/KCWorks in mirroring institutional repositories such that they're protected against uncertain futures?
