“We should be banning the import of goods produced in illegal settlements... placing sanctions on those involved in the settlements... stopping the involvement of any British companies... [and more] .” This is good from @emilythornberry.bsky.social 👏🏻👏🏻 www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

2/2 I have joined 65 other MPs in signing an amendment pushing for a National Commission on Electoral Reform. This is a necessary first step toward building a more representative system - one where power reflects the people, not the quirks of a failing model.
I know we'd rather it happened this parliament. And we still push for that. But at least with Burnham our starting point is a strong commitment to putting it in the next manifesto. Stopping a Reform/Tory majority will need cooperation between Greens/Labour/Lib Dems. If we do that, we get PR.
This is a really good, balanced summary. by @owenjones.bsky.social

Andy Burnham to back electoral reform if he becomes prime minister
“A rapidly expanding network of organisations campaigning against trans rights is shaping media coverage and political debate across the UK, while trans people are increasingly excluded from reporting about their own lives.” Powerful conservative groups orchestrate much of our transphobic politics.
Thinking of everyone in the trans community in the UK today. Two days ago the UK government announced London to host IDAHOBIT forum 2027 including these nuggets: “London set to become the global stage for progress on LGBT+ rights” “government funding will advance international LGBT+ equality”
