one of my kids’ books last night had a character say “I’m not a sissy” and i had to pause and give an intro to toxic masculinity
and it’s tricky to get that across to a 7 year old boy.
i tried to be like, “a lot of people have a broken idea in their head that it’s wrong to be soft”
