Just wrote a new blogpost trying to summarize my thoughts on the question of how and whether to use AI for research in psychology and cognitive science: babieslearninglanguage.blogspot.com/2026/04/usin...
Looking forward to heading to Italy for #MCLS2026! Maybe I'll see you there!
Another fun paper! We asked what words people find easiest to predict in a sentence, which is a good way to study how we represent lexical concepts. Found that people rely on more than just predictive statistics - it's more about which words are central in our semantic association networks.

Head Start turned 61 this week! 🎂

Fun new collab coming out in TICS (w/ Haley Weaver & Sudha Arunachalam) digging into the assumptions underlying the use of eye-gaze methods to study vocabulary development. Working on this paper really got us thinking - we hope it does the same for our readers! www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...
