👨⚕️Invested in better training for healthcare workers.
🏘️Built "waiting homes" where women from remote areas could stay near hospitals until their baby arrived.
🧐Created the Maternal Mortality Committee that investigated the cause of each death in order to prevent future ones.
This chart documents one of humanity’s greatest achievements, in my view.
We just lived through the fastest population growth in human history.
It would have been impressive if food supplies had merely kept pace — but on every continent, they grew even faster than the population.

🤔What happened?
⛽️ In the 2000s and early 2010s, coal was initially replaced by gas, with only moderate growth in solar and wind.
🌞But in the last five years, solar and wind have been deployed much more quickly.
📉Gas is now on the decline, too.
