this affects every single faculty on a visa that you know, adding to an infinite list of constraints on our time, money and resources that has *nothing* to do with the research we produce or the ways in which we are evaluated in our disciplines
flyers penguins is causing me a heart episode why do i choose to willingly participate in things that make me want to vomit
lots of discussion on how this will affect tech jobs, but once again this applies to academia also every professor you know on a visa will now have to leave the US for a green card, sometimes for multiple years. many will give up in the process. universities may not give them back their jobs.
