While a tornado watch remains in effect for Evanston until 9 p.m. Thursday, the National Weather Service now says the tornado risk has diminished somewhat for our area and that damaging winds and heavy rain leading to flooding is now the major risk.
There’s also a flood watch in effect until 11 p.m. tonight.
