I'm just gonna add a little bit to this as an author who has walked away from an MRM contract at Asimov's. I declined to go the multiple rounds the authors linked below suffered, but the bottom line is that MRM would not give me a contract warranty against their using AI for editing or promo.
Several people have asked me recently why Analog/Asimov's/F&SF/Ellery Queen/Alfred Hitchcock still don't have Submission Grinder listings again, because the communications from SFWA on the subject have been so positive.
So I thought it might be worth addressing this briefly.
