Kittens born in the wild 🧡
For a third year in a row, wildcat kittens have been born in the wild to released females 🐾

Earlier this year, the project conducted the sixth consecutive winter survey focusing on wild-living cats within the project area 📸
Using an extensive network of trail cameras, the team were able to identify at least 17 wildcats, and that doesn't account for those who may be camera-shy... 🐾

Wildcats prefer a mosaic of habitats, including grassland, mixed woodland, scrub, moorland, and farmland.
They primarily utilise the edges of these habitats for moving around and hunting small mammals.
