The GOSH Ness Monster charter by the Branch Line Society got our Hastings DEMU all the way to Edinburgh Waverley from Hastings, on time. Tickets are still available on the train for tomorrow’s run to Inverness and Aberdeen.
If you had told me a couple of years ago that the trusty DEMU would make it to Scotland, I'd have laughed right back at you But there it is, tucked away in Edinburgh Waverley with an adventure to the Highlands. Utterly, utterly brilliant 🥹
The Branch Line Society's 3-day “Gosh Ness Monster” charter of our DEMU to Scotland may now be booked on an each-day basis. If you fancy (e.g.) just the Edinburgh – Inverness – Aberdeen – Edinburgh trip on the Saturday, for instance, they now let you book this. branchline.uk/current-fixt...

Cha robh mi a' smaoineachadh gum faicinn Thumper Sasannach ri taobh soidhne Gàidhlig riamh! Sgoinneil! I never thought I'd see an English thumper beside a Gaelic sign! Cool!
We're still trying to process what we just did...
