sometimes i feel like i'm part of the minority that don't really see qifrey/olruggio and the girls to have a father daughter relationship o(-( like yes ur free to interpret however u like but idt we should be quick to put a child and an adult under the category of father and daughter everytime
if there's any closest i can get by this it'd be qifrey and beldaruit bcs qifrey never really had a proper one so i can imagine him seeing beldaruit as the closest one to being his parental figure... 🤔
actually on a funnier pulling my hair moment, i posted the qifrey handling coco's nightmare doodle w a long ramble abt how i really appreciate them as a master apprentice and how i don't see them as father daughter but someone still went and commented how qifrey was being such a father... 😭😭
i assume it's their way to shield from any... unsavory connotations but like... a kid and an adult can have a very healthy relationship even outside of family dynamic, a guardian figure for example? idk it always feels off when ppl erase their actual parental figure from their lives
i say it a few times jokingly as well but i quickly realise some people actually seriously look at them in a father daughter lense and i will take a few steps back (i never really say it anymore)
