Growing complexity and urgency in calls for assistance to Help and Kindness' Dorset Community Response service Help and Kindness' Dorset Community Response service is experiencing a rapidly growing number of increasingly complex requests from people facing multiple challenges, including poverty, homelessness, domestic abuse, carer exhaustion, food insecurity and difficulties accessing support services. Our small team works with individuals, families, professionals and community organisations to find practical, local solutions tailored to each person's circumstances. The stories and feedback we receive highlight the difference this support can make, but rising demand means we are looking for ways to expand our capacity and reach more people across Dorset who need help, guidance and connection to local support.
Calls to our Dorset Community Response service are becoming more complex and urgent. From supporting people escaping domestic violence, to helping carers in crisis, finding food, furnishings and navigating services, we're seeing growing need every day. We're a small team making a big difference, but we need more capacity to help more people. One person told us we're "Bloody brilliant!" Another said we were "the only light in a very dark place." Could you help us?
