Police are the worst offenders of this and deserve aggressive and harsh pushback from the public. When they park on bike infrastructure, it tells the rest of motoring society that this is ok and acceptable behavior. Don't let them get away with it. File official complaints if possible.
As they were walking from behind the building, I asked them if they could find a better spot to park (like the parking lot literally five feet in front of their vehicle). They both angrily glared at me like I was the asshole in that situation.
