Heartbroken about Anthony Head. His daughter often dragged him into a shop I worked in and he was utterly charming, despite the fact I was very clearly a star struck Buffy fan. An absolute class act, gone far too soon.
An absolute joy to list some of (definitely not all of) the things that make me angry.
Especially the stupid woman who shook her head as I was driving my car down the two-car-wide, two-way street that people in this town inexplicably refuse to believe you can fit two cars down.
Raaaaaage.
Shops and restaurants in my little seaside town rely heavily on seasonal trade. On sunny days like this, the town comes alive.

Now the school has requested we provide a packed lunch when they go back on Monday ‘as it is unlikely we will be able to run a full kitchen’.
A packed lunch! The humanity.
Verily, one of the most cathartic things I have written.
People here are exhausted. Every time we want to swim in the sea, we need to check an app to make sure Southern Water hasn’t pumped sewage into the sea. Now we’re in a heatwave, South East Water has turned off the taps.
We have no choice about who we pay for this service. We feel powerless.
