Wood crop agriculture aka forestry stores 83% less CO2 than primary forests aka functioning ecosystems aka life support systems. The carbon sinks of Earth are collapsing and will quickly release a few hundred Gt CO2. Planting trees is 100% nature denial. #Climate #Extinction

A new study finds old-growth forests in Sweden store far more carbon than the industrial tree plantations that are rapidly replacing them, with soil accounting for most of the difference. Protecting u...

Humans are only 0.1% of living biomass on Earth. We can't relate to how fast primary primary producers like bacteria evolve - which is in real time. We can't relate to how slow secondary primary producers like trees evolve. Trees need stable climates and time and will therefore go extinct soon.

#Canada 🇨🇦 is functionally extinct. Only 3% is capable of supporting large trees and within that small portion of the province, the ecologists found only 2.7% of the trees are actually old. “We’re talking a tiny fraction of a fraction. We’ve basically logged it all”

Government touts 13 million hectares of province's forests are old growth, but ecologists found only 35,000 hectares support large trees
