Here's a better shot of all the trees that went down in the yard. There are four on top of each other in this picture, and one of them is actually laying on the roof of the cabin next door.

Looks like the worst of the next round of storms might miss me and for that I'm grateful because I don't think my nerves can handle all that again 😳
Another site is now saying it was 80mph winds. When I get ahold of the park ranger I'm going to ask if they know officially!

I just heard chain saws off in the distance, sounds like they are already at work clearing everything up! Maybe it won't take all day after all. Already contacted the ranger station so they know I'm trapped here.
So it never ended up storming a second time here at all. It never even got cloudy or rained or anything. I feel good about my decision to stay, knowing the twin cities likely still got some bad weather, I probably would have been driving in it if I left!
Today I am heading home. Tomorrow I don't have anything going on, Saturday I'm babysitting for some good friends, and then Sunday off on my first actual tent camping trip of the year! My hand is feeling great and I'm glad I gave it that extra week!
They are here getting me out! I contacted the ranger station this morning and they came to me first because I'm apparently the only one that they are aware of that is trapped!
