Ok I will talk about baseball here instead. I co-write The Windup with Ken Rosenthal on The Athletic. It’s a newsletter.

Levi Weaver, but for baseball
i can't be the first person who has done this but i'm not gonna go searching around like it's 2018 twitter. it's not AI and I think that's where the bar is these days. i had an idea and so i stole these photos off the internet all on my own.
Hair wild from neglect, beard no longer an accessory but a consequence. Creating a time machine, not to free the world of war, pestilence, or empires, but to prevent the creation of a song you once sorta liked.
So the Rangers and (Dallas) Cowboys in Arlington, the (Dallas) Stars in Plano, and the (Dallas) Mavericks in … technically still Dallas (but essentially Addison.) I’m sure there’s a lesson to be taken from this. In lieu of knowing it, I’ll stick with my default presumption until proven otherwise.

There is a specific horror in hearing a song you don’t hate on a commercial on MLB.tv, knowing that by the 7th inning you will have heard it 48 times. By next week, you will loathe the song. It will haunt your dreams, twisting you into a character reminiscent of the works of Edgar Allan Poe

I logged on to say something about Joey Votto (here's that, it's great, he's such an intelligent and curious dude: www.nytimes.com/athletic/730...) but upon logging on, I quickly realized that the internet belongs to the Knicks right now, go Knicks

Thank you @threetwoeephus.bsky.social for your spot-on critique of those stupid Google AI campaigns during baseball games! It’s infuriating they call things “insights” when it’s really just a cherry-picked data point from a completely hidden source!
