I think there's a beaver at work in the Sawkill!
The drawing (done in Rome during WW2) might be by Fellini-- he drew American soldiers when he was a teenager. The 2nd photo is in Cortina d'Ampezzo, where he was stationed in King Victor Emmanuel's villa.
