This morning I paid a visit to Chicago's immigration court at 55 E. Monroe to check in on recent claims that there's a push for mass preliminary hearings (see linked NIJC presser).
Granted I haven't checked on that court in a few months, but nevertheless:
I have never seen the court so packed.
Some really crazy cases in here
- cop looked up ex-girlfriend and family in Flock 100+ times
- cop stalked wife giving "test" as reason
- cop searched one plate 395 times in 10 months; was later fired
Cops keep getting arrested for using Flock to stalk people

There have been more than a dozen cases around the country where police use Flock to obsessively and illegally stalk people.
"ACTA has backed state-level efforts to subordinate colleges and universities to MAGA’s agenda.
ACTA promotes right-wing donor-driven and -funded centers on campuses
ACTA grades colleges and universities on what it believes students should be required to learn..Christian nationalist [school] A+
How do you control unruly academics?
Through their trustees, of course. This right-wing group has a national network to push their agendas on universities across the USA.

In just the courtrooms I observed:
Judge Michelle Venci: 162 people set for a 9 a.m. "master" preliminary hearing.
Judge Joshua Luskin: 202 people set a 9 a.m. master hearing.
Dave Byrnes
Joseph Cox
Hundreds of people were scheduled for the same hearings in multiple courtrooms, the two of which I observed were so full they were standing room only with more people lined up out the doors.
