📢Job alert📢 @uniheidelberg.bsky.social has an opening for a full W3-position on “Modeling of Biological Processes” 😀👍 Here is the call tinyurl.com/3w9e9dtf and application deadline is March 15. The group would be located at the beautiful #BioQuant center right in the middle of Neuenheimer Feld.
Exciting news: DFG funds FOR5872 – Chaperone-mediated regulation of amyloids in condensates! Led by Prof. Janine Kirstein (FLI), researchers from Germany and Israel will explore how chaperones counteract disease-causing protein misfolding. Good luck to the team! #FLI #DFG #FOR5872 #Chaperones

Very much looking forward presenting our research on ubiquitin motif containing chaperones and their role in proteostasis at the #Ubiquitin&Friends Symposium in Vienna.
First time India for me. Fantastic meeting on organellar proteostasis. Met some familiär faces of the SPP Miostasis and plenty (new) proteostasis afficiados. Thanks @embo.org
Postdoc position available in my lab in Jena (Germany. jobs.leibniz-fli.de/jobposting/6... If you're interested in protein biochemistry of amyloid proteins and chaperones, this job may be for you. B2 Level German is required as the candidate will be involved in teaching in German.
Very much looking forward to host Simon Alberti (Vice speaker of the newly funded FOR5872) in Jena at the @leibnizfli.bsky.social on August 15th at 1 pm. Everyone is welcome to attend his talk.
Great work by the @schliekerlab.bsky.social 👏We're happy that we could contribute a bit.

I'm very excited to announce the funding of a new DFG research unit FOR 5872 "Chaperone-mediated regulation of the emergence of disease-causing amyloids inside biomolecular condensates" that I lead together with Simon Alberti. More information can be found here: www.leibniz-fli.de/news-events/...
Many thanks to the PhD students of the Max Planck Unit for the Science of Pathogens (MPUSP) for the invitation to their summer retreat in Schwerin. Great science, nice scenery for the morning runs and its fantastic to reconnect with some old friends/colleagues/mentors.
