This is another attempt at sane-washing and normalizing extreme right wing views and those who hold them.
Rights you have to pay to enforce aren’t guaranteed unless you can pay for them. I’m glad there’s a way to get lawyers paid to enforce peoples rights. What about all the cases lawyers choose not to take? The profession as a whole, or at least the part in your vicinity, decides if you get justice.

I can't imagine the trauma
Imagine that the only labs that remain open and receive (ample) funding are those:
- With only American citizens in their labs;
- With no international collaborators;
- Who have never participated in a protest or donated to a Democratic campaign;
- Whose research aligns with Trump’s priorities.

If your identity depends on making someone else's life harder, you're not as tough as you think you are.
