Point #1 is relevant way beyond politics and why I think vibe coding is going to be way more impactful than perhaps people working in tech realise. The list of things I could've done with some coding is many times longer than the list of people I've worked with who had any actual coding training.

#1 People who work in tech are expensive. If you're a backbencher or an opposition MP, your team is unlikely to include any tech expertise and you don't get briefings from officials
#2 Instead, you'll get a lot of briefings from tech companies. Tech companies spend a LOT of money on lobbying.
