I don't think anyone's even processed yet that the Olympics are in the US in 2028 and they have the potential for being ten times more embarrassing for both parties.

Usually when World Cup’s are held in a brutal dictatorship, the quid pro quo for both sides is obvious.
With this clusterf***, it's really not clear what the US or FIFA is getting out of it, and the potential lasting damage to both is kinda obvious

This will go down as a major stain on FIFA and its World Cup before a ball has even been kicked. Infantino has been banging on about the most inclusive World Cup and Africa’s top referee can’t even get into the country.
